At Pyro PlayFest, we are passionate about showcasing fresh, unpublished works by playwrights who are ready to ignite the stage with new stories and bold ideas. Our mission is to create a dynamic, supportive platform where new and emerging voices can share their work, fostering creativity, collaboration, and a lifelong love for live theater.
We believe that every creative work has value and that fair compensation in the arts is vital. While Pyro PlayFest does not offer royalties or honorariums at this time, it offers playwrights an exciting opportunity for exposure, meaningful audience feedback, and the chance to see their work performed by a community of passionate artists. Our goal is to celebrate and nurture new plays, helping them take the next step toward wider recognition and future productions.
We also strive to create an environment where all audiences feel welcome. We encourage playwrights to submit works that are mindful of language and sexual content, understanding the sensitivity of our diverse community. Submissions with excessive profanity or explicit material may be less likely to be selected. We invite you to bring your creativity while keeping inclusivity and accessibility in mind.
